Josh Paschal - SEC Special Teams Player of the Week

Josh Paschal had a solid game on defense Saturday night. Registering 1 assist, 1 QB Hurry, .5 sack and .5 TFL but it was his blocked punt that earned him the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.

 

The UK Media Department put out the following information about the Freshmen who's nick mane is "Blitz Baby" on Monday...."Paschal, from Olney, Md., set up the eventual game-winning touchdown by knifing through the line and punter shield to block Jake Julien’s punt deep in the Eagles’ end of the field. The block went for an 18-yard loss and set up Benny Snell, Jr.’s 12-yard scoring run on the next play that gave the Cats a 24-14 lead with just under 12 minutes remaining in the game."

 

This now makes two UK players that have earned this honor this season. Austin MacGinnis won the award for his play in the South Carolina game.
