Men's Golf gets second win of 2017-18 Season

October 2, 2017

Riding the hot start of the 2017-18 season for Senior Chip McDaniel, the Wildcats have won their second team title in Cincinnati, OH at the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club.  McDaniel has now won 3 tournaments after shooting a -12 in the Bearcat Invitational (66, 67, 68).

As a team, The Cats shot a record, 32-under par (820) which is 19 strokes better than their previous record of 839 set in 2015-16.  Arkansas came in second at 26-under par, Mississippi State came in third at 17-under par.

Head Coach Brian Craig stated, "This was a satisfying week for the Cats.  It is always fun when the birdies are rolling, but I especially love how these boys stayed aggressive and finished like champions. And what can I say about Chip McDaniel? His performance was simply outstanding. He is a thoroughbred and showed it this week.”
