Four UK Football players named mid-season All-Americans

Kentucky senior linebacker Josh Allen, junior running back Benny Snell Jr., senior offensive guard Bunchy Stallingsand senior safety Darius West have earned midseason All-America honors from various media outlets this week.

#41 Josh Allen, the 3x SEC Defensive player of the week has earned first-team honors from the Associated Press, ESPN.com, Pro Football Focus and The Athletic. In six games, Allen leads the SEC and ranks 10th in the NCAA in tackles for losses with 10.5. He has 20.5 sacks in his career at UK, six of them has come this year.
 
#26 Benny Snell, the SEC leading rusher, earned second-team honors from the AP and The Athletic. No stranger to the end zone, he is tied for second in the league and seventh nationally in rushing TDs. He scored a school-record 40 career touchdowns in just 31 games, becoming the second-fastest player in SEC history to accomplish that feat. 
 
#65 Bunchy Stallings, a 2x SEC Offensive Linemen of the week,  was named a second-team midseason All-American by ESPN and The Athletic.
 
#25 Darius West, was a second-team midseason All-America choice by The Athletic.  He leads the Wildcats in tackles (47),  interceptions (3) and pass breakups (five).
